On Friday November 11th, 2011, Whales took to the stage at Quenchers Saloon in Chicago, Illinois joined by the most excellent Matt Engstrom on keyboards.
Light Coma performs their album Counturemeasures live at Quenchers Saloon in Chicago, Illinois on Friday November 11th, 2011. This show served as the release for the album, and the band performed it start to finish. On Friday November 11th, 2011, yes, that was 11/11/11, a wonderful night of music took place at Quenchers Saloon in Chicago, Illinois. The night was put together to provide an audience for a touring Martin Bisi and band, and was coupled by a record release show for Light Coma. The fantastic Whales were also on the bill.
Mark Shippy opened the evening with a 26 minute piece of ambient music performed with a laptop and an acoustic guitar. Here is a video of that performance.
On Saturday, September 17th, 2011, friends gathered for the celebration of the release of Panic Kit, Laura A. Lionello’s breakout collection of poetry, showcases the author’s deft hand and mastery of voice in dealing with universal themes and truths, such as joy, heartache, loss, suffering, and triumph.
To help celebrate the achievement, Begin By Gathering Supplies, The Columbines, and Mayor For Life performed, and all welcomed Laura on stage to read selections from Panic Kit.
